Here I am!!!
By: Linda DePeel (c) 2008
Well, Sue, Jerry & All! After much sweating, (no swearing) and threatening to drop kick my laptop, I finally created my very own lil' ol' blogspot!
When it comes to computers, I am truly blonde. My younger son, the Gee-Whiz Bang Computer Kid just doesn't understand why his mom can't just sit down and "do it" instead of struggling. He laughs at me, scolds me, sighs (I can also see him rolling those baby blues). I remind him that my first experience with a computer was back when they had these big tele-type like computer thingees, and you typed stuff out on cards that make beautiful Christmas wreaths. He'll say, "Mother, were you ever a child? I mean, you talk about stuff and make yourself sound really old!" "I'm not too old to reach through the phone and spank you, whipper snapper!" We both laugh at that one and he bails me out of whatever trouble I've gotten myself into.
So, since this is "All About Me", I will tell you a bit about myself. I was born and raised in Western Nebraska, which is closer to Cheyenne than Lincoln. I live with my mom, and I am her Personal Care Provider, and we have "seven kids" (cats). Six are hers, and Serena Marie is mine. Makes life interesting. I have a brother who lives in London and only recently got his British citizenship, after having lived there since about 1975. I have two half-sisters who live in town--one lives across the street from us. I have two sons: Mike is 29 and recently he and his wife moved to Anchorage (where she is from). My other son is Mark, 26, lives in Omaha (Gee Whiz Bang Computer Kid). I have no "Significant Other"--haven't had for 20 years. And I'm not looking. My daughter-in-law, Melissa thinks I'm a bit daft for not "being in a relationship". I like things just the way they are--I have my freedom and my sanity!
Not making much sense? It's Monday, and I usually don't make sense on Monday's. Usually am busy dusting, moving furniture, scaveging for hairball thingees and laundry. If not that, then I'm running errands for my mom (we only live two blocks from downtown). It's been a busy, hectic day thus far, and since my bout with pneumonia this past March, my energy level is about zilch and I also have trouble focusing at times. This is one of those days. Maybe will go rest a-spell, then I can post some more.
So, c'mon back now, y'heah?

Yay! You did it. Great beginning. Now you can blog your heart out.
I like your style. You seem very full of energy for someone who's just had pneumonia. Keep it up.
